More on Congressional insider trading

Further to the recent 60 Minutes expose on insider trading in Washington, further details on the hypocrisy and unfair advantage taken:

“It gets worse. Not only are legislators free to trade in ways that would put a civilian in handcuffs, congressional staffers and lobbyists are also exempt from insider-trading regulations. [thanks to the exemptions the legislators so kindly penciled in for themselves and their friends]. See Congressional insider trading: the story sticks

These people apparently cannot admit or recognize even the most glaring conflicts of interest. Their attitude is that the public has no business even asking these questions. How can they possibly help re-regulate changes needed in the financial system when they are so clearly corrupt themselves. This loop-hole must be closed immediately and any politician who votes against doing so should be ousted. Americans should express their outrage. Actually it is probably tolerated in other countries as well, we should all check into our current insider trading laws as it applies to politicians.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people believe that government is for the people by the people.

There may be a simple solution.
It does not mean going down and camping out in the local park or writing letters or throwing rocks.
We can just simply choose not to participate.
    Peaceful non participation.
    Stop unecessary consumption.
Stop paying income tax…it is voluntary.
Stop paying property tax….no one will take your house away.
Stop voting in any election….does it really matter who is elected to any office?
    Stop supporting the status quo.
Of course none of this will happen without some unifying force or figure.
