Robert Shiller, is one of the few useful economics professors.  He is also co-creator of the S&P/Case-Shiller home-price index. Bob is an excellent big picture student and thinker. He is also that rare mix of smart, humble, honest and incredibly hard working. He spoke with Tom Keene on Bloomberg Television’s “Surveillance Midday here is the link.

    Homes come with a lot of expenses. Why would you expect it to do anything other than give you shelter from the elements, comfort and a nice place to raise your family? According to recent articles, most boomers expect to retire in the home they currently reside in. Collect homes on Monopoly, not in the real world.
