Re, Denninger’s speech: Any presidential candidate who makes that speech, then survives long enough to actually implement it, will go down (eventually) in American history as the greatest president, second only perhaps to Abe Lincoln or G. Washington.

NO one dares to give that speech, nor dare to touch the third rail. Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy both touched the third rails with their respective philosophies and honor, and look what they got.

In tough times, men and women keep their heads down….not up. Sorry for the gloom, but history is history. They don’t make heroes anymore….Ronald R. was the last one I can think of. And he got lucky. He got America going WITH the baby boomers entering the workforce. Now the UNLUCKY ONES get the beginning boomers at the exit door. And its a global issue too ie Spain, etc.
