Aging population with poor health habits posing global entitlement problems

If people would do the right things to look after their own health that would be a different world. But most do not and they are placing a crippling burden on the finite resources of publicly subsidized health care systems as well as constraints on workforce productivity. While present trends are great for drug co profits they are disastrous for the rest of us in pretty much every way possible. Time for fresh policy thinking. Mayor Bloomberg is on the right track even as he inspires anger in response.
