As US Presidential candidates debate gun control, many Canadians may be surprised to learn that the Canada Pension Plan into which all Canadian workers pay, holds some $37m of its $400 billion portfolio in American manufacturers of assault rifles, handguns and bullets. Meanwhile, last week the leaders of 145 corporations wrote a letter to the US Senate, urging that the government take action on gun safety.  This CNBC clip offers a good overview of the current forces competing to define gun policy in America.  Here is a direct video link.
