The explanation for the seemingly ironic Dilbert cartoon is that there is a HUGE difference between being SCHOOLED and being EDUCATED. If you are curious about the possible disastrous shortcomings of schooling, particularly economics or business schooling, read the very eye opening article by Ira Basen entitled “Economics Has Met the Enemy, and It Is Economics” in this past Saturday’s Globe and Mail (18 October 2011).
