COVID-19 complacency is spreading so resurgence is sure to follow. As cities, states and provinces move to re-open and slack distancing rules, the number of people wearing masks is falling and front-line doctors are worried. Last week, the top U.S. infectious disease specialist Dr. Fauci Anthony Fauci called the coronavirus pandemic his “worst nightmare” and warned that the deadly outbreak is far from over.

Thwarting hopes that warm temperatures would slow transmission, COVID-19 is now spreading rapidly in parts of the Southern Hemisphere, from Latin America to Africa, as well as twenty-one U.S. states.
