This documentary is worth considering. It is looooonnnnng (2:12) and far reaching (definitely conspiratorial). It includes many upsetting allegations or assertions. However it is not necessary to accept every proposition in order to see some overall merit. Many of the ideas are broadly correct or within reason in my view. I am doubtful that the oppressors or the “they” in the film are as calculated and intentional as the film suggests. I think most of the harmful decisions are and have been made in the human tradition of basic greed and control–coveting resources and power for a few at the expense of the rest. The oppressive collusion between the finance sector and governments over the past 30 years is something that I have personally witnessed and warned about for many years now.
I do think that the world is now entering an important period of revolution and evolution. And there is great opportunity in this. I am convinced that a brighter future will be found ahead more in prevention than treatment, in clean, sustainable, self-suficient energy, and in getting the finance/debt genie back into the bottle. The greatest hurdle to getting there is not science, or a deficit of innovation–but overcoming the oppression and resistance of the current status quo. You can make up your own mind about where you agree and disagree. Depending on one’s world view, some of the ideas in the film are no doubt incredulous. The key is that we think instead of blindly follow. Most importantly, I believe that we must each strive to be the change we wish to see. Suggestions on positive actions individuals can and are taking, starts about 1:35 in the film, in case you want to fast forward to the takeaways.
“THRIVE is an unconventional documentary that lifts the veil on what’s REALLY going on in our world by following the money upstream — uncovering the global consolidation of power in nearly every aspect of our lives. Weaving together breakthroughs in science, consciousness and activism, THRIVE offers real solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future.”
This is very reminescent of what David Icke has been talking about for years in person and in his many, many books on the subject of the Controllers. Icke is very likeable and intelligent and I flew from Chicago to Charlotte NC to hear him speak in 2003 at a Life Expo (also an eye-opener).
Thanks Danielle for putting Thrive up there for us. And BTW, I spoke to a Fidelity rep on the phone today during market hours asking him if anyone has been complaining about the market as of late and what to do about it. He said, yes a lot of people are getting tired of the up/down, whipsaw action….then he asked ME what my plan of action was!!! I told him my age, then went silent. He was thirty. And I went silent. Then I told him my plan of action. Sit in almost 100% cash earning very little for as long as it took to disgust out the other players. He laughed! He said how low did I expect the markets to get? I basically told him your targets…..2009 levels. He was silent. Then I told him 2007-2008 was just the leading edge of the storm..and it did in the bubbly homebuyers. The far-edge of the storm was the coming destruction to state and municipality pension funds IF these markets don’t produce some returns. I had to repeat this several times, but he did ‘get it’ I hope. Then I hung up and silently thanked you for all your wisdom and time you spend with us here.
Thank you Danielle. Thank you!
I watched Thrive a while back. I actually paid to watch it. Now Danielle airs it for free!!
It’s a very well produced film with high production values. Essentially, it’s a consolidation of many skeins of thought in the vein of films/books like The Corporation, Zeitgeist, Chariots of the Gods by Von Daniken, The Creature From Jekyll Island by G.E. Griffin, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America by Iserbyt, and They Mystery of Banking by Rothbard. The only thing missing is the JFK assassination. And thankfully they do not claim the élites are really lizard people (or did they, I forget).
But Thrive goes further by establishing its own reductionist cosmology based on the torus as the universal pattern of energy flow. The main potential benefit being free energy, which has enormous economic, social, and political implications if true. It’s akin to zero-point energy and the implications of the work of Tesla.
But there’s something I just don’t trust about Mr. and Mrs. Gamble. They may be forthright, well-meaning human beings, but they carry the aura of some spiritual occultist leaders who are simply too at peace with themselves on the surface. I got the sense that they are trying to establish the Cult of the Torus.
However, the inclusion of Catherine Austin Fitts adds a lot of credibility to this video for me. I have great respect for her and her opinions, some of which some might find a bit, shall we say, “out there.”
In the end, the message that change is possible is positive and necessary is one that the world sorely needs right now. I would suggest people don’t get too caught up in some of the claims, but focus on the fact that humanity does have the potential to be better than what our current paradigm would seem to allow.
Wow. You mean they’ve already cured cancer and the evil corporations have blocked them. And then they invented the fractional reserve system. Jeez. These guys have it good at the top. Let’s kill the illuminati. That’s seems like a reasonable thing to do.
He he he.
Some how I just don’t picture Danielle leading the mob with torch and pitchfork in hand.
Although, she is among those who lead the little band that don’t think what the mainstream economists and media feed us.
Very well put, the Cult of the Torus!!! Why would we need to waste resources on wind farms and solar panels if we all get access to free energy?
So where is this free energy machine?
Enough said
Dear Danielle thank you for sharing the movie Thrive. You are my favorite financial analyst that I like to listen to. The fact that you put up the link to share the movie on your blog tells me a lot about where your heart is. We need solutions and the movie offers a way out of the dying systems and into healthy working systems. The concepts are sound and I know the work of every one of the people in the movie and I studied it extensively. Flower of Life is the key. I know that everything is connected and I spent many years studying all the topics in the movie. Thrive is a good start and it provides the connect the dots point of view. It is up to us to check out what the movie is saying and perhaps come up with better solutions based on our understanding of how the systems work. I hope that you will play a part in the future to make sure that the systems we will create are sound. It is simple, as creators we have caused all this to happen. One can create to support life and all the systems or one creates systems that collapse on themselves eventually, because there is no flow of energy in and out. We had to power to fix the system but we chose to be powerless because some people convinced us that we are not creators and only they can create. What they created is killing us. Money is energy and the tap has been directed to go outside of the system into the hands of private interests at humanity’s expense. I take full responsibility for my ignorance and for living in the state of fear and greed in the past. I know that the solutions will be as good as my own willingness to get to the bottom of the root cause and detachment from what I will find. There might be some implications of what I will find and how it will impact my own illusion of security. There are no saviours and Gamble is not a saviour and he doesn’t claim to be one. We have got to this point because some of us used technologies they did not understand or worse these technologies were used purposely this way because they knew exactly what there were doing. We do not want to make this error again. We are at the beginning of creating a new civilization. The evolution will come from an enormous pressure for us to either evolve or die. We have a lot to figure out so we can make sure no one misuses these technologies again. I viewed the movie (which was really old news to me) and I marveled how they presented all these complicated concepts. There is more to it though. Lot of un-education has to take place. We have been living in the fictional world that we thought was real. Everything that I am coming across that I believed is just the opposite. At times it is not quite the opposite but – as Winston Shrout teaches it – it is just like the movie Alice in Wonderland. It is not opposite it is the mirror image that we are looking at. I went to search deeper into the topics and everyday my understanding increases.

The biggest wakeup call was reading the book by Stephen J. Puetz The Unified Cycle Theory that I read to understand the financial world but it got me to study all the other areas.
Don’t follow the creators of the movie if it doesn’t feel right, but investigate what the Movie Thrive is offering. The rabbit whole is very deep. The movie does have a lot of merit. I will visualize Danielle, Winston Shrout, and Catherine Austin Fitts on the same team fixing the financial system. We would have to make the real world of money exchange working again alongside the fully functional fictional world of paper exchanges so it works again as Winton Shrout suggests. In order to do that we have to understand WHO WE ARE. For energy solutions and other topics the good source is the Veritas Radio with Mel Fabrigas. He did a lot of shows on energy topics. The work of the late Brian O’Leary, Ph.D The Energy Solution Revolution, Break Through Power by Jeane Manning and Joel Garbon on how quantum-leap of new energy inventions can transform our world. Don’t forget the work of Tesla and also (our new Tesla) Alex Putney. There so much more. Thrive tried to offer a few energy inventions witnessed and the principle they are based upon. Moview BLACK WHOLE expands on the concept and it is done by Nassim Haramein http://vimeo.com/30784674
Thanks a lot. I really don’t want to be inventing my new car – that is beyond my abilities – but I want to be a responsible driver picking a vehicle that supports life.
Danielle,
I just watched the “Thrive” documentary that you posted on your site. As an engineer with a background in physical sciences, I would like to refute the notion of “free energy”.
The first law of thermodynamics states that energy is neither created nor destroyed. Hundreds of years later, Einstein established the equivalence of matter and energy. Without force, there is no such thing as energy. All four fundamental forces (see http://physics.about.com/od/physics101thebasics/f/fund_forces.htm)
involve matter. Without matter, there is no force. Thus, the concept that “free energy” can be “extracted from space” is nonsense. To obtain energy, something must be there. Stated alternatively and as have I heard often from Physics professors, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
In the quantum world, it is possible to borrow a small amount of energy for a very short length of time. Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle establishes the limits on time and energy. In order for this energy to have any manifestation in the world we live in, though, a force must be present. An example is the evaporation of black holes as worked out by Hawking and later verified experimentally. In this case, the force is the gravity provided by the black hole. So, even at the extremes of quantum dimensions and relativistic conditions, there is no free lunch.
The documentary makes many good points. Unfortunately, the claims of free energy are crackpot science. If free energy were real, a cottage industry would spring up regardless of the efforts of government and oil companies.
By the way, I had a similar experience to the one described by the fellow who posted about his conversation with a fidelity advisor. In my case, the guy was friendly and upbeat at the beginning of the meeting but lost all of his pizzazz after I told him that I planned to wait until some value returned to the market. He did not like the SP500 level that I told him was my idea of value. He concluded the meeting by telling me to buy a raft of funds that he recommended. He obviously had been programmed to sell product. Similarly in the fall of 2008, a different fidelity advisor called to try get me into some stock funds. When I pointed out that we had gotten similar calls throughout 2007 and early 2008 and would have been very sorry to have taken their advice then, he immediately responded that they focus on the long term. Another programmed response.
Thanks to Danielle for the many informative posts.
Regards,
