Quote of the Day: Mark Twain on Losing Money

On losing money…..

“There must be something fearfully disintegrating to the character in the loss of money.  People suffer other bereavements and keep up; but when they lose money, straightaway the structure which we call character, and are so proud of, and have such placid confidence in, and think is granite, begins to crumble and waste away, and then…  The granite that had once been sand, is sand again!”
