Mr. Trump sounded encouragingly more conciliatory and serious in his 60 Minutes interview. But the most important issue facing humanity today is one that 60 Minutes didn’t ask him about. Above all our festering on the minutiae of social difference, all people on planet earth have the same need for a sustainable environment. While Trump had ridiculously said that climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese, he has also said that he believes in clean water and air (pragmatic view!) Let’s go with that then: these are two key reasons why the global energy system must and will evolve to renewable power.
