“Stimulus” that will work? gender pay equality

In a slow growth world, where middle class household incomes have been stagnate for years now, everyone is looking for stimulus ideas that will help rebuild household strength, savings and consumption ability. Here’s one of the most obvious: require equal pay for women and men. Both sexes should campaign for this across the world. It’s self-help for our collective financial progress.  This double standard is counter-productive and utterly indefensible, and yet it still persists most everywhere.

Does anyone know what happened to those 22 million emails the Bush Admin lost?

As I have said before, I am not a fan of either leading Presidential candidate.  They both seem unworthy of trust to me.  But I do think that intelligent people damage their own credibility when they try to the defend the indefensible for any candidate.  See Does anyone know what happened to those 22 million emails from the Bush White House? This quote captures the real state of affairs best I think:
