GMO labeling needed for consumer transparency

More than 60 countries have laws either banning or regulating GMO products. The United States and Canada are woefully behind. So far the mass production food lobby has staunchly opposed consumer disclosure in this area.

Responding to the overwhelming majority of consumers, Whole Foods has announced that all GMO food sold in its stores must be labeled as such by 2018. At the end of the day this initiative is all about honesty and disclosure to Whole Foods. “This is really for us all about the customers’ right to know and the transparency of the food supply…that’s where we’re taking a stand,” says Co-CEO Robb.
