Former Senator Alan Simpson (co-chair of the Simpson-Bowles commission on debt) says if the U.S. doesn’t cut its debt, the markets will eventually demand higher interest rates and the “little guy” will get the “green weenie”.(green is a curious color choice here to be sure, LOL).
