You don’t have to believe that humans are bringing about climate change to see the huge opportunties in green, domestic, self-sustaining energy. This is the biggest no brainer since the wheel.

This documentary came out in 2010, but I only found it recently. It is longish at 46 minutes but a good summary of the origins of our credit crisis, as well as how rescue efforts have been directed and why they have done more harm than good to date.

I hear a lot of pessimism today from people who feel our system is broken and beyond hope. I disagree. I see things we can do everyday to advance the cause of wiser, cleaner, more sustainable, policies and habits. But we have to care enough to take action rather than just complain or stick our head in the sand and keep doing things the same old way.

Cultivating self-discipline and respect for the health of ourselves, our families and the planet is an easy place to start in my view.
