Equal pay and treatment is best way to strengthen the economy

There is no question that one of the best ways to spread wealth in a society and increase the multiplier effect to include more households for a stronger economy, is to increase pay and opportunity for women [and members of other discriminated groups] so that they are on an equal footing with men…much more effective than more tax cuts when effective tax rates are already low. Perhaps the ongoing wave of harassment revelations may help raise this ‘no brainer’ idea to the fore.

Meanwhile the fact that the presently sitting leader of the free world has a long history of sexism, bullying, inappropriate (and worse) treatment of women is one of the many extreme contradictions of our time.  See:  The Trump allegations for the list to date.

Kelly’s comments in this interview about the bullying and harassment she suffered from the current sitting President are a stark reminder of the mind now at the nation’s helm.

During an interview at Business Insider’s IGNITION conference in New York on Wednesday, Megyn Kelly discussed being attacked by President Trump and being called Trump’s “chew toy” by Maureen Dowd. Here is a direct video link.
