Toronto Resource Conference this weekend

I am speaking at the Toronto Resource Investment Conference this weekend at the Metro Convention Centre. Each year this is a very well organized show with an entertaining line up of speakers and discussion panels as well as hundreds of companies presenting their stories for investor consideration. You can register on the Cambridge House web site for free in advance here. I am part of a panel discussion Saturday at 1:30pm as well as doing a solo talk at 3:30pm Saturday and 9:00am Sunday morning.
With gold flirting with $1300, the bug crowd will be in fine form no doubt!

Good luck with your presentation. Hope we can look forward to hear it next week. My crystal is glass is confused and I would so like to hear where you feel the economy and market is going in the near term.
    Kind regards – Richard

I think this coming week poses a dilemma: what to short??
    S/P 500 or the Nasdaq?
    US 10 year Treasury?
    Gold?
    Or, all four together……??

I wouldn't short anything. There's rumours that QE 2.0 is coming in the next few months and more of this cheap money will drive up stocks, bonds and precious metals.

    PS
Currently I'm only holding laddered GICs and cash

That would fit my timing idea of the seasonal pattern, after October, when the Fed pulls out all the stops in the third year of the Presidential cycle.
I think the Oct.- Nov. time frame will mark the bottom.
