A little light to start the week. Here is 9 year old Amira Willighagen in Holland’s Got Talent last month. The discussion is in Dutch, the subtitles are in French (although you can select translate to English in the closed caption settings on Youtube) and she sings in Italian “O mio babbino caro” (“Oh My Beloved Father”)a soprano aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi (1918) by Giacomo Puccini. She explains that she has not had singing lessons, but her brother plays the violin and she decided she wanted to do something too, so she went on Youtube to look for songs she thought she could sing.
