Here’s a shocker: “Facebook Ads simply don’t work”

A new UK based study finds that 44% of Facebook users have never clicked on an ad and 31% rarely click on ads. Four out of five Facebook users—or more than 700 million—have never bought a product or service as a result of advertising or comments on the site.

Further, 34% of Facebook users spend less time now on the social network than six months ago, while only 20% spend more time now. See Facebook Ads simply do not work, new study finds.

Makes sense to me. I doubt that I have ever clicked on an ad on a website, indeed I find them extremely annoying and sites that have a lot of ads tend to be sites I avoid where ever possible.
